Gambero Rosso '17 Tre Bicchieri (3/3 glazen)
+In top five Amarone wines 2012, together with Sant' Antonio, Allegrini, Speri and Ca'Rugate.
Vivino 4.2/5 (33 ratings)
+Surprisingly good! Dried fruit, spices, a little traditional oxidated nose, modern and still quite refined. Where the ripasso has less alcohol it's less noticeable in the amarone. Oak definately present, but mouthfeel good and refined, bold yet elegant. Good Wine and not that overextracted powerhouse stuff.

+David Sterza is one of my favorite undertheradar producers in Valpolicella. Low prices and excellent quality make him wellworth seeking, especially if you love Amarone and Ripasso.
James Suckling 94/100 (2010)
+A transparent Amarone with beautiful aromas and length. Full body, ultrafine tannins and a long and flavorful finish. Yet remains balanced and beautiful. Plenty of dried berry and walnut character.

+From one of my favorite producers in the Veneto, the 2010 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico is a complete and delicious red wine. The bouquet is absolutely distinctive in terms of its intensity and power. This is a full throttle red to enjoy by the fireplace in the dead of winter. Dark fruit, prune, tar and licorice are followed by blackberry preserves and Teriyaki smoke. This is huge wine in terms of power, determination and persistency.
